Andrea Rehn
Andrea Rehn is Undergraduate Dean and Dean of Arts & Sciences at Russell Sage College, a comprehensive university offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees on campuses in Troy and Albany, NY. Formerly, she was Associate Dean at Whittier College and for nine years directed the Whittier Scholars Program, a by application, 4-year Bachelor’s granting individualized program. As Professor of English she launched Whittier’s Digital Liberal Arts Program to reimagine undergraduate liberal arts curriculum for a digital information age. Her publications include articles on Conrad, Kipling, Austen, and digital pedagogy. She has been a recipient of $1.45 in grants from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, an NEH Summer Institute Fellowship, a visiting fellow at Chawton House Library and the University of Southampton, as well as a keynote speaker for the Council of Independent Colleges Digital Resources Consortium, a member of the VirtuallyConnecting.org movement, the Online Learning Consortium Steering Committee and track chair for Pedagogy, a frequent speaker at the AAC&U Annual Meeting, and a finalist for “Best Educational use of a Social Network” in the EduBlog awards.
