Charles Prince
Charles B. W. Prince serves as the Director for Student Success and Transition in the Office of Undergraduate Studies at Howard University. He leads the office’s strategic plan, campus-wide initiatives from orientation to the first-year experience and beyond. He received his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and History from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. Later, he pursued his Master’s degree in International Comparative Education from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mr. Prince’s research interests are in K-12 (Public & Private), Higher Education (National & International), Curriculum and Instruction, Evaluation and Assessment and Governance. As a Center Affiliate, Charles’s goal is to collaborate with other MSI key stakeholders on various projects that will impact student retention, graduation, curriculum offerings, and research enterprises. He is a member of the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is also a native of Chicago, Illinois, and Port Arthur, TX.
