Craig Marroquin
Craig Marroquín (enrolled member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma) is currently a second year doctoral student in the Measurement, Assessment and Evaluation program at the University of Connecticut. Craig holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Education from Texas Christian University. He currently holds a research assistantship with the Early Vocabulary Intervention Project and also is an academic advisor at Three Rivers Community College. At Three Rivers, he is working with the Connecticut College Access and Success (ConnCAS) Program, which seeks to raise college student achievement by strengthening the efforts of student support services which in turn results in increased retention and graduation rates among minority students. His research interests include instrument design, culturally responsive construct modeling, quantifying qualitative data, indigenous methodologies and measuring, evaluating and assessing the educational outcomes for Native American college students. His current research includes three instrument design projects: Measuring and Quantifying Cultural Integrity, through the lens of transculturation, for Native American college students; Assessing Academic Advising Effectiveness; and Native American College Student Perceptions of Study Abroad.
