Francisco Ramos

Francisco Ramos is the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Evaluation for The Graduate School at Duke University. In this role, he directs The Graduate School's student learning outcomes assessment program, providing leadership in developing and implementing evaluation processes and systems, supervising the implementation of The Graduate Pathways System (GPS), planning and managing components of the annual budget, preparing grant funding applications, managing components of the external review process for 75+ departments and programs, and teaching graduate-level academic career development courses.

Ramos earned his Ph.D. in Education Policy Studies from Indiana University, his M.S. in Comparative and International Education from Indiana University, and B.A. in History from the Honors Program at the University of Michigan. In the classroom and in his research, Ramos explores the various means by which marginalized youth have sought “full citizenship” and equality in schools, politics, and public spaces.
