Gabriela Diaz
Gabriela Diaz Guerrero graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Florida International University (FIU) with a B.A. in English, a minor in History, and a certificate in Professional and Public Writing. Gabi is a current M.A. student in rhetoric and composition, graduate writing tutor, and Wilson-Auzenne Assistantship recipient at Florida State University (FSU). Gabi previously worked as a writing tutor at FIU's Center for Excellence in Writing and had the opportunity to attend the National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing (NCPTW) as part of a panel put together by the Center called "Beyond Borders: Conversations about Writing." Her current areas of research interest include individual voice, identity formation, Latinx rhetorics, writing center studies and translingualism, and public memory. Her research interests largely arise from questioning rhetoric and composition’s effects on social causes and awareness.
