Genesis Pia

Genesis Pia is Guatemalan American and is a first generation college student. She is currently conducting independent research on modern hembrismo ideology and how it is used to understand the ways Latina college students fulfill multiple roles in egalitarian ways while navigating their intersecting identities. She is a recipient of the Matador Scholarship Fund for the 2018-2019 academic year, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology Honor Society.
