Jomarie Coloriano

Jomarie Coloriano is a doctoral student at Marquette University, pursuing research on the role of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in fostering a sense of belonging and improving student outcomes at two-year technical colleges in Wisconsin. With a professional background as Director of Inclusive Excellence and Student Support Services, and an adjunct instructor in Human Services, and First-Year Experience at Gateway Technical College, her work focuses on advancing equity through culturally responsive practices, servings, and trauma-informed leadership.

As a first-generation college graduate, she is deeply committed to creating inclusive pathways for underrepresented students. Jomarie is a second cohort alumna of the Advance CTE Postsecondary State Leadership Fellowship, for which she developed a beta site focusing on basic needs for Wisconsin Technical College System students. Recognized with awards such as the Wisconsin Association of Colleges and Employers 2024 Innovation Award and the Gateway Technical College Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion award, her dedication to fostering belonging and equitable access continues to inspire her academic and professional contributions. Jomarie is married and enjoys serving the community, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her pets.
