Joshua Blackwell

Joshua Blackwell is a native of Toledo, Ohio and a sophomore Industrial and Systems Engineering student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He regards himself as an energetic and passionate problem solver who enjoys connecting with new people. Outside of school, Joshua finds pleasure in watching the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday nights and watching NBA games, particularly those that include Kevin Durant. He is beyond excited to be chosen as a 2018 Frederick Douglass Global Fellow and experience all that South Africa has to offer and develop bonds with all the people he will meet while abroad. He hopes that the fellowship will allow him to grow as an individual and reflect on ways he could improve using his global perspective.
