Karina Salcido
Karina Salcido is pursuing a B.A. in Art History and a minor in Anthropology at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Currently, she serves as the Social Media Coordinator for the Art History Association at UTEP. In this role, she works to inspire student engagement in the arts. Last year, the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, invited Karina to write catalog entries and wall texts for artists participating in the Faculty Biennial. In addition, Karina is an advocate for her hometown historical architecture preservation through the Texas Trost Society. Her passion for Art History motivates her to appreciate alternative perspectives on art and to continue researching, particularly, modern and contemporary art. Her hobbies include painting, yoga, animal rescue, and hiking in the Southwestern desert.
