LaDan Johnson
LaDan W. Johnson is a doctoral student in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies program at Howard University. His research focuses on the impact of deferred maintenance on Black students' sense of belonging at HBCUs and the institutional policies that support their success. Alongside his studies, he serves as the Student Affairs Specialist for Howard University's College of Engineering and Architecture, where he supports student engagement and academic success. He has also contributed to education-focused initiatives as an Education Systems Doctoral Student Intern at the American Institutes for Research and was inducted as a 2023 Fellow in the Leaders of Color program. Outside of academia, he enjoys organic gardening and fostering community connections in Washington, D.C.
