Lee Jackson

Lee M. Jackson serves as the Senior Dean of Adult Education for City Colleges of Chicago at the Harry S Truman & Olive-Harvey campuses. Lee is a lifelong educator who has transformed the lives of others through his tireless work with students and educators in his various roles during his educational tenure. He describes himself as a life long educator who wants to continue to impact the lives of others as education continues to be the ultimate equalizer.
He currently directs the adult education program services at two campuses for the City Colleges of Chicago which includes the High School completion (formerly known as GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) for adults.
Lee began his career as a middle school mathematics instructor with Chicago Public Schools (CPS). During his tenure with CPS, he rose through the ranks of administration first as a program lead, then assistant principal and ultimately building principal in the North Lawndale community. While working for CPS he held various adjunct roles at Concordia University & National Louis University in the department of education; teaching classes in educational leadership, finance, law and philosophy of education. Additionally, he taught various mathematics courses for educators and served as field experience coach for aspiring teachers and future leaders completing their educational residency programming requirements.
He is a Chicago native and has 29 years of experience in the field of education. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in African American Studies, a Master’s in Education as well as his Education Doctorate in Educational Leadership all from Loyola University of Chicago. Lee is married and the proud father of a beautiful blended family.
